Internet Fraud Awareness Talk
'}}

On 20 January 2024, I was delighted to be invited by the Men’s Breakfast section at the Morpeth Methodist Church for the opportunity to discuss Internet Fraud and provide tips to the audience to avoid being deceived by scammers. Thank you also for the delicious cooked breakfast. When you receive a strange email, it will more likely be a scam. Be caution and follow the tips:

  1. Be on top of your cyber hygiene,
  2. Do not act in emergency,
  3. Take some distance to think about your life and the hard work you put into building it,
  4. Never click on links or/and open attachments from unknown sender, and
  5. Talk about it around you.

As soon as you realised you have been scammed, please contact your bank, which might be able to stop the payment and refund the lost amount. Also always disclosed it to the Police via ACTIONFRAUD.  www.actionfraud.police.uk
